Bells, Balance, Cardio, and Weights – No Barriers!

We’ve got a lot of ways to get stronger at Punch – check them out…

When we added the Power Room in the lower level, our vision was to create a “downstairs” space where people could do their strength training primarily with free weights to complement the kettlebell, ropes, bodyweight, etc. training they did “upstairs.”  Of course, from the outset we knew the physical separation, but in hindsight, we perhaps also created an unintentional psychological space as well.  I’ve gotten feedback that the Power Room seemed intimidating and so some folks haven’t tried the free weight training opportunities, and I’ve also seen a number of folks do either/or – they may do only the Power Room or only the “upstairs” classes.
With the recent consolidation of our space, I encourage each of you to seize the opportunity to create a new balance in your workout routines. We’ve always been about being strong and there are certainly many ways to go about that depending upon what you’re trying to achieve, and so just as we’ve taken down the barrier between “upstairs” and “downstairs,” challenge yourself to see if you’ve had any barriers in your workout routine that you could knock down through variety.

I like to think we now have more opportunity for cross-pollination; now, whether you’re doing classes or lifting, you’re only a few feet away from the space where a very different type of workout happens. As you take advantage of the benefits that come the various types of workouts available to you, you benefit from what each has to offer. Our classes and sessions are alternately focused or varied by design, so mixing things up over time will assure you get the greatest benefit possible:

  • High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
  • Weight training
  • Bodyweight training
  • Balance
  • Flexibility
  • Mobility
  • Stretching

Class Schedule 
I’ve been told our new configuration has added some energy to our space. Harness that energy to mix things up – try something new, revisit something you haven’t done in a while, explore all that’s offered and all the ways you can benefit. 
We’ve got a lot to offer, and so do you – there are no barriers to getting the most out of yourself and Punch.
